Fornicatus - Discography

Fornicatus brings nothing new to the depressive scene, you probably heard a lot of bands that sounds just the same, but they do it very well, it is worth checking out.
   As you expect from a band in the depressive black metal scene, Fornicatus music is so deep, painful and distressful. If  you are a fan of the genre you probably will enjoy this.
   Fornicatus will release their second full-length album soon, the album name will be Vive Memor Leti and it will have 7 tracks, for more information visit their facebook page (link) and their myspace (link).
   I recommend this band for the fans of DSBM.

Crown of Twilight - Discography

   Crown of Twilight is a band from poland that was created in 2013, as this band started to play only recently, so there is not much information about them in the internet.
   Crown of Twilight have only instrumental songs, their style is a mix between atmospheric and raw black metal. In my opinion their first demo is among the best releases of the year, this promise to be a great band.
   I highly recommend this band for fans of Xasthur, Striborg and Moloch.

Oppressive Light - Discography



Band: Oppressive Light

Country: France / Mexico


   Oppressive Light is an international band that was founded in 2011 by May from Mexico, P. from France, Letallis (Photophobia, ex-..., ex-Deep-pression) from Italy and (N.) (Shroud of Distress and Unjoy) from Germany. After the release of their first album both Letallis and (N.) left the band.
   Oppressive Light's songs are great, the instrumentals are so hypnotic, combined with the anguished Letallis vocals, everything makes an atmosphere so deeply sad, so beautiful.
   They have released a new full-length album in 2013 called Life Hates Me.... I have been searching for these album for quite some time now, I wanted to post Oppressive Light's discography only when I had found it. After months, I gave up, if one day I find this album I will post it here.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone, especially for fans of Lifelover, Photophobia and Apati.

Abyssmal Sorrow - Discography

    Abyssmal Sorrow is quite unique, everyone who already listen to this band will say so. They bring everything that is best in funeral doom, while listening to their music you are taken to another world, where everything is so sad and painful but at the same time so beautiful and peaceful.
   When I listen to Abyssmal Sorrow work I picture myself in a landscape in a warm full moon night, in the middle of the nature just gazing up at the stars in pure solitude and depression.
   Sadly the band split-up after the release of the first full-length album, and all the members have chosen to remain anonymous. In my opinion Abyssmal Sorrow is the best funeral doom band and I recommend this even for those who are not fans of funeral doom.

        Gris - Discography



        Band: Gris
        Genre: Black Metal
        Country: Canada

           Gris was formerly known as Niflheim. Niflheim was a canadian band formed in 2004 by Neptune and Orion. In 2006 the band changed the name to Gris, due to this change Orion changed his pseudonym to Icare.
           Gris's style of music is a mix between dsbm, neofolk, atmospheric and pagan black metal, they managed to take the best things about the four genres and combine them, which resulted in a majestic and cold masterpiece.
           The mainly difference between the Niflheim era and the Gris era is that most of the Niflheim's releases were demos and Gris released only full-lengths, so Niflheim's quality of sound is quite poor when compared to Gris. Also, the Niflheim era was more raw while the Gris era have some influences of the post black metal scene.
           I recommend Gris for all the fans of good black metal.

        Country: France

          Feigur's music is atmospheric black with depressive black influences, it is a one man band, formed by Graf Von Feigur. Feigur is one of those bands that comes out of nowhere and just blow everyone's mind.
           Everything works so good together, the vocals are great and the atmosphere created reminds you of a landscape so desolate, cold and depressive. It is a very well made atmospheric black metal.
           I recommend this band for everyone.

            Dead - Discography




            Band: Dead
            Genre: Depressive/Ambient Black Metal
            Country: Mexico / Finland / Russia


               Dead was an international band created in 2008. They split up after a few years, with only a few songs released. The members were from Mexico, Finland and Russia. Their style of music was a mix of bedroom depressive and ambient black metal.
               Dead's music is so distressful, I don't understand how the sick mind that made this songs has not yet been institutionalised. Listen to their music is like a journey through the depths of a depressed and insane mind.
               The atmosphere created by their music is just mesmerizing, everything is so cold, so bleak. It seems that the musics have no lyrics, only screams of pure pain and anguish. I don't recommend this for the weak hearted.
               I recommend this band for fans of Coldworld, Trist and Hypothermia, and highly recommended for fans of good bedroom depressive black metal.

            Country: Sweden

             Lustre is a one man band from Sweden created by Nachtzeit (ex-Durthang, ex-Life Neglected, ex-Hypothermia), everything in Lustre's music is so wonderful and majestic, it is a cold journey to the depths of your mind.
              Lustre is such a unique band, you never heard anything like this before and probably never will. His music is so desolating and bleak, but at the same time so relaxing and peaceful. Lustre's music is minimalist, it really shows you the beauty in simplicity, it is perfect for all the fans of good atmospheric black metal.
               I highly recommend this band for everyone.
