Widergeist - Discography

Widergeist is a dutch band founded by Rob (Irrwisch), Bram Peters (Irrwisch), Jeroen Putman (Nord, ex-Irrwisch) and Mikael.
   As you can see most part of this band members are/were members of Irrwisch, so obviously both bands have a lot of similarities, although Widergeist is more raw. Opposite to the release dates of the albums of both bands, the songs of Widergeist were recorded first, so a lot of people consider this band as the start of Irrwisch.
   Widergeist creates an atmosphere very cold and haunting, it is obscurely beautiful. The band released only one demo before splitting up, with only 5 untitled songs.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone, especially for fans of Irrwisch, Striborg and Walknut.

Arath - Discography



Band: Arath
Genre: Dungeon Synth
Country: Germany


   Arath is a german band founded by Murgrind and Grimrik, and is part of the label Deivlforst. Their style of music is an dark ambient mixed with dungeon synth with medieval influence, and all the titles of the songs and the lyrics are written in an fantasy language, created by them. 
   So far Arath have released only one album, that is the first part of a trilogy that will tell the story of a warrior named Arath. As you expect from a good band in this genre listening to the songs is like taking a a journey through dungeons and high mountains, it is truly beautiful.
   Arath makes a more old school sound, in the veins of Wongraven and early Mortiis, as the others bands by Murgrind and Grimrik, that in my opinion are both masterminds of this genre.
   I highly recommend this band for all the fans of good dungeon synth.

Aversion to Mankind - Discography

   Aversion to Mankind is a spanish one man band founded in 2009 by S. soon after his other solo project Hopeless ended.
   Aversion to Mankind surprisingly is very different from Hopeless, but it is still very sad and painful. So don't go listen to this band expecting something like Hopeless because you will be disappointed, listen to it as if it had nothing to do with Hopeless and you will probably like it.
   Aversion to Mankind is able to incorporate various styles of music without lose that familiar dsbm sound, this is truly a great band and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Ered Wethrin - Discography

  Ered Wethrin is a swedish band formed in 2013. This band is one of the side projects of Nechtzeit, founder of Lustre. In the world created by J. R.R. Tolkien Ered Wethrin (which means Mountains of Shadow in sindarin) was a mountain range in Beleriand, at the end of the first age it disappeared beneath the waves.
   As you may expect this band have a lot of similarities with Lustre, but the main difference is that Ered Wethrin is more epic, and as the name of the band already suggests their music is based on the world created by J. R. R. Tolkien.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone, especially for fans of Lustre.

Graven Dusk is a canadian one man band founded by Evil Lair in 2006, but so far the band has released only one album in 2014.
   Graven Dusk is able to create an atmosphere very bleak and dark, bringing the best of both funeral doom and black metal, honestly this band promises to be one of the best in this genre, and I do hope that he will release more stuff soon.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

Thy Light - Discography




  Band : Thy Light 
Genre : Depressive Black Metal

 The atmosphere created by their musics leaves me just speechless, I think it is impossible to find something as sad and at the same time as beautiful as this. For me one of the highlights of this band is the vocal work, it is pure anguish and pain.
    No need to say that Thy Light is one of good bands, and I  recommend this band for every one.

   Hopeless style is a dsbm with influences from the atmospheric black and doom metal. His music create an armosphere so mezmerizing, you can truly feel his anguish, his pain.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.
